RDF(Refuse Derived Fuel)production line

1. Sorting pretreatment,
* Purpose *: To remove non-combustible materials (such as metal, glass and dregs) and recycle available resources.
* equipment *: Chain conveyor: used for the preliminary transportation and uniform distribution of raw materials. Bag-breaking machine: bag-breaking treatment is carried out for bagged garbage to release internal materials.
* Treatment details *:After the primary garbage is sent to the production line by the loading truck, it is sorted manually or mechanically to separate large incombustible materials (such as furniture and stones) and hazardous wastes.

2. Primary crushing
* Purpose *: To reduce the volume of garbage and facilitate subsequent sorting and processing.
* equipment *: Double-shaft shredder: Crush garbage into coarse particles of 50-80mm through shearing and tearing. Single-axis shredder: suitable for the fine crushing of soft materials such as plastics and textiles.
* Treatment details *: The crushed materials are conveyed to the screening system by belt, and iron is removed by magnetic separation at the same time.

3. Magnetic separation to remove iron
* Purpose *: To separate ferromagnetic metals (such as nails and cans) and reduce the wear of combustion equipment.
* equipment *: Suspended magnetic separator: installed above the conveyor belt to absorb ferrous metals.
* Treatment details *: After the crushed materials pass through magnetic separation equipment, the iron metal is adsorbed and exported for recycling, and the remaining materials enter the screening process.

4. Screening and winnowing
* Purpose *: To separate light combustible materials from heavy noncombustible materials (such as glass and ceramics).
* equipment *: Roller screen: materials with different sizes are screened through the aperture, and the undersized materials (dregs and small particles of incombustible materials) are directly discharged. Air separator: light combustible materials (plastic and paper) are separated by air flow, and heavy materials (stone and glass) are manually sorted.
* Treatment details *: The screened light combustible materials need to be further crushed to a smaller particle size (usually ≤30mm) to improve the combustion efficiency.

5. Secondary crushing
* Purpose *: To further refine the particle size of materials and improve the molding density.
* equipment *: Fine crusher: the material is crushed to 30-60mm, and the discharge size is controlled by screen.
* Treatment details *: If the moisture content of raw materials is high (> 25%), it needs to enter the drying stage; If the moisture content is moderate (15%-25%), it can directly enter the molding machine.

6. Drying (optional)
* Purpose *: Reduce the moisture content of materials, improve the calorific value and molding effect.
* equipment *: Drum dryer: use hot air to reduce the moisture content of materials to below 15%.
* Processing details *: The drying temperature is usually controlled at 200-300℃ to avoid excessive decomposition of plastics and other components.

7. Molding
* Purpose *: To compress loose materials into high-density fuel blocks/rods, which is convenient for transportation and combustion.
* equipment *: RDF briquetting machine: Using hydraulic or mechanical pressure, materials are extruded into block or rod fuel (density ≥ 1.0t/m).
* Processing details *: A small amount of additives (such as lime) can be added in the molding process to reduce the chlorine content and inhibit the generation of dioxins. Core components (such as molds and rollers) need regular maintenance to ensure uniform and stable discharging.

8. Storage and transportation of finished products
* Purpose *: To ensure fuel quality and avoid secondary pollution.
* equipment *: Automatic packaging machine: packaging finished products into ton bags or transporting them in bulk.
* Handling details *: The finished product should be stored in a rain-proof and moisture-proof warehouse, and the calorific value should be tested regularly (usually, the calorific value of RDF-5 is ≥14MJ/kg).
